Part 2 Good News and Bad News – A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle Summary

In this series I said I was going to illustrate why Jonathan Budd exemplifies the qualities of A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle. But this is not going to be a Jonathan Budd Biography , no my friend lol.

Instead I want to give you a complete outlook of this thought provoking and equally transformative book in a A New Earth Summary instead. This will lay the ground work for the remainder of our series and allow you to truly appreciate the genius of both  A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle and how it relates to my boy Mr. Jonathan Budd.

Good News and Bad News from A New Earth

Eckhart Tolle says in his book that mankind is sick. Sick in a bad way, not cool.

You see we as humans have inherited what he calls a “collective dysfunction”. That same collective dysfunction creates a society of imperfect beings. Us as imperfect beings have the propensity to harm themselves and others via Murder, Rape, Adultery and even smaller destructive habits like lying and malingering.

Entrepreneurs are no different. We have a propensity to commit sin on a daily basis. And no I’m not getting spiritual with you in this A New Earth Summary.

The word sin, when stripped of all cultural dogmatic hangups and driven back to an intellectual interpretation of its original greek, means nothing more than to miss the mark. As an archer misses the target.

Every day unless you are in some how perfect you fail, you fall short, you “Miss the Mark”. It normally comes down to our productivity.

A New Earth Summary “Productivity” = “The Appearance of Sinlessness”

You see those of us who are productive seem to be to the untrained eye to be sinless. Well in this A New Earth summary I want to make sure you don’t believe such non-sense.

Have you ever seen that commercial where Micheal Jordan says “I’ve missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.”

Isn’t that deep and beautiful. I couldn’t think of a better way to get to the climax of this A New Earth Summary.

We all Have a Pain Body

Eckhart Tolle brilliantly states
“Because of the human tendency to perpetuate old emotion, almost everyone carries in his or her energy field an accumulation of old emotional pain, which I call ‘the pain-body.’
and then continues to say
“Any negative emotion that is not fully faced and seen for what it is in the moment it arises does not completely dissolve. It leaves behind a remnant.”

If you don’t receive anything else from this A New Earth Summary pay attention to this.

Your pain body is a damaging menace . Every time you pick up the phone and make a call to a prospect and they hang up on you or you go for a goal and miss it. You are experiencing pain in most cases.

Now some people no how to deal with that pain quickly, acknowledge it and then know that they’re reason why is bigger than what just happened. Others bottle it up and choose not to deal with it and then they do what’s known as projecting.

Projecting has no place in a Go Hard Entrepreneur but I have to talk about it to give Eckhart Tolle justice as well as Jonathan Budd, in this A New Earth Summary

I remember me and a friend of mine Alysia got into a silly argument. I was mad that we were having a communication breakdown and I went off via text about how childish she was for texting me about what we were discussing instead of calling me.

As soon as i was about to loose my mind completely she said you are the one being childish stop projecting. I was abruptly stopped in my tracks as I immediately realized I was wrong and that I was indeed projecting my childish whining on her and making her respond the way she was.

Entrepreneurs do this all the time with prospects. They project onto the prospect all there hangups and see it within another imperfect person. Next time you get peeved at a prospect, recall this selection of my A New Earth summary and see if you can’t swap out some right thinking.
